Grauer Wolf in Minnesota (USA) © Holger Rüdel | Nach aufwendigen Vorbereitungen und mit Hilfe Ortskundiger gelang diese Aufnahme eines wilden Grauen Wolfes - in den USA Gray Wolf oder Timber Wolf genannt - am Ufer eines Sees im nördlichen Minnesota. Auf einem abgelegenen Felsen am Seeufer entsorgen einheimische Angler in alter Gewohnheit ihre Fischabfälle, was Wölfe aus den Wäldern der näheren Umgebung anlockt.Allerdings ist nie vorhersehbar, ob und wann sich Wölfe an dieser Stelle zeigen. Minnesota weist mit 3.000 Tieren die größte Wolfspopulation der Vereinigten Staaten auf. Im Jahr 2012 wurden zum ersten Mal in den USA in den Bundesstaaten Minnesota, Wisconsin und Michigan Wölfe zum Abschuss freigegeben. - Realized with Pictrs.com
